For Students

What’s next? It’s hard to say—maybe a summer internship with a camp or education program, or a gap year after high school or a course of college study while you’re still in high school. Maybe a four-year college.

So many possibilities! Well here are some people who can help you decide what you want to do, what you’ll need to study, and how to get where you want to go.

They’re enthusiastic professionals who want to show you their work, explain what it takes to do the job, and what they like about it. Easy.

Here’s what you need to know.

The sessions are 1-2 hours long at the place of business, whether it’s a veterinarian  clinic, a dental office, a food pantry, or a florist. You’ll learn about the history of the profession, what the profession looks like today, and where it’s going.

  • You must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • All sessions are by appointment only, and all appointments are made by the Chamber. (Simple! Once you’ve decided what you want to see, call us at (847) 724-0900)

Next Steps?

  1. Browse the possibilities.
  2. Talk to your teacher, school counselor, or parent about your ideas.
  3. Fill out this form or call us at (847) 724-0900). You should know when you and your parent or guardian are available so that we can make the appointment for you.
  4. Bring your questions!
