Lynne Stiefel - People Person

Biographical Info

Lynne Stiefel is Communications Manager for the Village of Glenview.

She grew up in Skokie. Her interest in communications/journalism began in college, when she joined the student radio station at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Since then she worked professionally in radio, television and newspapers in Wichita, Tulsa, Houston, Boston and the Chicago area. She joined the Village in 2011, after having covered the Glenview beat for Pioneer Press newspapers.

She believes communications is a field that involves finding creative ways to share information helpful to people. The best preparation is to get a well-rounded education – where you know a little bit about everything, but always need to ask questions to find out more.
